This sandwich gets rave reviews each time I make it. It reminds me of a Monte Cristo sandwich. This is a Taste of Home Recipe so you know it is a tried and true recipe. It is really easy to make. I have actually made it for parties and sliced it small for more of a bite-sized portion. I never have any leftovers and I bet you won't either. Enjoy.
Ingredients
2 tubes (8 ou each) Crescent Rolls
2 TBSP butter, melted
4 TBSP honey, divided
6 ounces thinly sliced deli turkey
6 ounces thinly sliced deli ham
6 ounces Muenster or Monterey Jack (I use Muenster)
1/3 cup raspberry jam
1 TBSP sesame seeds
Directions
Unroll each tube of crescent roll dough into two rectangles. Place two inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press perforations to seal. In a small bowl, combine butter and two tablespoons of honey. Brush over dough. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on pans for 15 minutes. Carefully transfer one crust onto a new parchment-lined baking sheet. Layer with turkey, second crust, cheese and ham. Add third crust; spread with preserves. Top with remaining crust; spread with remaining honey. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake uncovered for 10-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and sandwich is heated through. Carefully cut into slices and serve.
